Planning permission was granted for four new dwellings in Hitchin by a unanimous vote at the North Herts District Council planning meeting last night.
A planning application was submitted in August 2016 and planning negotiations took 9 months to reach a positive conclusion for a development of four large detached luxury family homes with garages and substantial gardens. The main negotiations involved existing and new Tree Protection Orders and some Highways issues which were all resolved to the satisfaction of the planning department, the planning committee, and the neighbours of the site.
EHW have now been instructed on the working drawing package by John Burgess & Co, a family run construction and development company, who will be constructing the dwellings themselves.
